Went out to a jap restaurant and overheard someone criticising christians for being hypocrites and claiming that he has more respect for ___ (didn't hear too clearly) because at least they stick to their convictions.

Actually, was thinking that it isn't THAT hard to stick to your own convictions, because YOU made these convictions, which means that they generally correspond human nature, or at the very least, YOUR nature (in case you're inhuman =)) This means that it's in your nature to stick to these convictions.

Christians, on the other hand, have to follow convictions that are not our own. All our rules and teachings are laid down by God, and since God is all-good, His rules wouldn't correspond with our sinful natures, and so we have a hard time following them.

Not that we shouldn't be berated for our wrongdoings, though.

What do you people think?
