'The best things in life are free.'

Back in the days when illegal downloading was rampant and uncontrolled, i thought that the quote was rather true. If something is good, someone will put a copy of it for everyone to freely download and enjoy. Hence the best things in life are usually free.

Until Odex started this war against anime fans.

Not that i am for illegal downloading, but i thought that their methods were rather harsh. Love is very important in the anime industry. If you show love, people will support you. That's probably why fans do make donations to fansubs groups; because they devote a lot of time, effort and money into bring high quality fansubs to fellow fans? Fining people harshly isn't exactly going to endear Odex to fans. Nor is ignoring their requests for higher quality. A better thing to do, as someone suggested in the Straits Times, would be to send a warning letter for a first offence and then fining the person for a second one? And, in my opinion, heed the suggestions of fans as that demand for their dvds will increase, and thus the problem of illegal downloading would be less rampant?

Love is the way to go ^__^

Speaking of the best things in life brings us to the question of what exactly are the best things that life can give. Material gains? Success? How about... the love of a wonderful person?

There's a love that is free and available to all, even to people who lack social skills. Even to people whose hands are heavily stained with sins, like me. All you have to do is to accept it. And this love comes from none other than our wonderful Father in Heaven. This love of His is truly unconditional; it does not exclude anyone at all. Anybody can have it as long as they make up their minds to. And it's really the best thing in life; it's so great that God sent His only son down to earth to die for us.
